Pricing

Ø The Quantities Tab is where you set up pricing for your specifications. If you are selecting from the specification screen, the information from the spec will automatically copy over to pricing. If you select Pricing from the Control Panel, then you must select the specification number or select <add> to set up new pricing.

Ø Various function keys are located on the left hand side of the screen. They are: Select, Add, Match, Exit, Save, Cancel, Settings, Edit, +, -, Recalculate, Select Stock Sheets, All Qtys, and Print.

o Select: Upon selecting <Select> a Select Item screen will appear. This is where you can search for a specification using either one of the following criteria: Spec Number, Customer Number, Customer Name, Item Number, Item Description, Box Size/Type, Purchase Order Number, Factory Order Number, Invoice Number, File Number. Once the specification is found, click on that line and hit the <Select> button.

o Add: Selecting <Add> allows the user to add a new specification for pricing.

o Match: Selecting <Match> allows the user to see if there are any existing specifications that are similar to the one that is currently being selected. If there is a match, the system will ask you if you want to view the Similar Spec or Continue.

o Exit: Selecting allows the user to exit the specification screen.

o Save: Selecting allows the user to save the pricing information.

o Cancel: Selecting allows the user to cancel a transaction.

o Settings: Selecting <Settings> will bring up the Pricing Session Settings screen. Here you are giving the option of have the Machines carryover to all priced quantities; Automatic Price Calculation, Price Rounding Method, and Round to the Nearest Decimal. The default setup of the Pricing Settings can be set up in the Factory Order Setup Screen.

o Edit: Selecting <Edit> allows the user to add or subtract priced quantities. It is very important that you select Edit to set up any priced quantities in pricing. This is a step that is commonly must by BoxPro users.

o +: Selecting <+> allows the user to add more priced quantities. However in order to do this, you must first select <Edit>.

o -: Selecting <-> allows the user to subtract any priced quantities. However in order to do this, you must first select <Edit>.

o Recalculate: Selecting will recalculate your cost if you are changing anything related to pricing including the default Board Vendor. It is always a safe bet that you recalculate anytime you change an item in pricing.

o Select Stock Sheets: Selecting will allow the user to select from their list of stock sheets and based their cost estimate on stock sheets. In order to select , the Stk box located in pricing must be checked.

o All Qtys: Selecting <All Qtys> is an easy way to recalculate all priced quantities in a cost estimate. If you have more than one price quantity, instead of selecting each priced quantity one by one select the box next to All Qtys then select to recalculate all priced quantities.

o Print: Selecting <Print> will print out a cost estimate worksheet.

Ø Entering Priced Quantities

Ø To enter pricing on the specification you have selected, select <Edit>, then select <+>. You are then placed into the Qty field. Enter the Qty and then hit <Enter>. If the item was set up as a Build\Ship, the Adjust Routing screen will appear. If the item was set up as Purchased Finished or Other, the Purchased Finished Box is checked and the Purchased Finished Machine is automatically selected. All you have to do is enter the sell Price.

Ø If the specification you are working on is a Build/Ship, after entering the qty, the Adjust Routing screen will appear. There are 2 columns. The first is all of your company’s machines and the second column is the Selected Routing. The Selected Routing column will show the recommended machines that are needed to manufacture the item. It is based on the Machine Limitations that are set up in BoxPro. If a machine needs to be added to the Selected Routing, find the machine under Machines, click on the machine, and then select the arrows facing towards the right. If a machine needs to be removed from the Selected Routing, click on that machine and select the arrows facing towards the left. If the Selected Routing column is showing the machines out of order, click on the box next to the machine and drag it to where it should be. When you have completed selecting the machines, select . Then you will be back into the Quantities tab, which will now show an estimated cost.

Ø The following information is available to you after calculating your cost: Active Price, Price Worksheet, Cost Summary, Qty, Unit of Measure, Mark-Up, Freight Calculator, Effective Date, Ship To, board Vendor, Setup, Purfin, Stock Sheets, Lock, Price Per, Cost Per Price\MSF, Board Cost, Board MSF, Material %, Profit, Variable Cost, Fix Cost, Machine Cost, Sheet A, Sheet B, Board Adders, Upcharges, Total Square Footage, Estimated Square Footage, Total Estimated Square Footage, Pallets, # Per Unit, Core Pallets, Stretch Wrap, Straps, Freight, Freight Per, Weight, Total Weight, Stock Sheet Cost, Pallet Code, Pallet Description.

Ø The first box next to is the Active Pricing box. Check this box if you want the quantity you are pricing to be active and able to be booked on an order. Selecting will open up a Pricing Worksheet where you are able to enter various pricing scenarios including customer target price. Selecting will open up the Cost Summary screen. This screen shows how BoxPro calculated the cost for the item. Included are Materials, Upcharges, Machines, and Other Costs. There are two columns: Total Cost and Cost Per. Total Cost is the total cost for the quantity that you are pricing and Cost Per is the Cost Per Unit of Measure. This is the same information that will print out on the Cost Estimate. Selecting will bring up the Freight Calculator. Here is where you can calculate your freight. If you want to change board vendors, select the Vendor in the Vendor column and then hit to see the new estimated cost based on the new Vendor selection.
