Sets Tab
The Sets Tab is where you set up your Corrugated and Non-Corrugated Sets. Before proceeding to the Sets Tab, the following information needs to be in place:
- The Parent (Top Level) Specification needs to be set up in the Specification Tab. When entering a Specification for a Parent Set Item, the only items that need to be entered are: Customer, Item ID, Item Description, and Style (which must be SET). Select save when completed. Make a note of the Parent Specification Number, which will be needed later on to build the set.
- Next, the Children (Components of the Set) need to be set up in the Specification Tab. When entering a Specification for a Child Set Item, enter all information as you would for any other Specification. Select save when completed. Make a note of the Child Specification Number, which will be needed later on to build the set.
- Continue the above process until every item in the set has a Specification set up.
- If the set has a Non-Corrugated Item as a component, make sure the item is set up in Inventory Control before proceeding to the Sets Tab.
Once all items have been set up either in the Specification Tab or Inventory Control, return to the Specification Tab and select the Parent Specification. Then select the Sets Tab. To begin the Set process, make sure the Parent button is checked. Then select <Add>. Select the Part Type. If the children were set up as Specifications, select the Specifications circle and enter the Specification Number. If the item was set up in Inventory Control, select the Inventory circle and enter the Item ID.
Next, check Rollup and then enter the number of pieces per item it takes to complete the set by moving the arrows up or down. Select save when completed after each item. Then select <Add> until all Specifications and Items associated with the Set are set up. As items are being saved, they are brought down to the bottom of the screen. When completed, select <Print> to see a detailed Specification of all items that are needed in the set.
