Image Tab

The Image Tab is where you can view the Hard Card image of the Specification you are building, and where you can attach your own Print Card image. If you’re company has chosen to scan Print Cards, please follow the steps listed below:

HyperWare recommends HP scanners. Set up one scanner on one workstation.
Set up a folder on the network where all scanned images can be stored and name it “Print Card Images”.
When saving the scanned images, make sure the file is saved in the Print Card Images folder on the network.
Save the Image as a JPEG file and use the Specification number for quick reference. If JPEG is not available, try BITMAPS. Contact HyperWare regarding any other image formats for compatibility.

Located on the Image tab is a Hard Card button and Print Card button. The columns next to the Print Card button shows where the image file is located on the network or workstation. HyperWare strongly recommends that users do not mess with the location of the hard card image, unless you are going to override the image with your own.

To attach a Print Card to a Specification, select the Print Card button. Locate the scanned image on the network and select it. The image will appear in the Image tab. Select the Hard Card button or Print Card button to move between images.

To select a Print Card Image, right click on the image. Upon right clicking a window will appear that will allow the user to play with the image (including enlarging the image or rotating the image).

When printing the Specification, you will have the option of printing the Print Card. The Print Card is attached to the specification, unless someone changes the image or removes the Print Card image from the system
